|---|---|---|---|
| Ala (wing) | $950.000 – $1.600.000 | USD 610 – 1.030 | Cabrinha Mantis, RRD, Aztron. Hay alas sin marca conocida desde $450.000: desconfiá. |
| Tabla | $1.390.000 – $4.180.000 | USD 900 – 2.700 | Cabrinha Code y Swift (2022-2026), Shakka, Tinos, Duotone Sky 2026. |
| Foil completo (mástil, fuselaje y alas) | $6.930.000 – $7.340.000 | USD 4.470 – 4.740 | Duotone Aero, de gama alta. Hay foils más económicos en tiendas especializadas. |
| Kit completo (ala + foil + tabla) | $3.500.000 – $4.750.000 | USD 2.260 – 3.070 | Gong, Rocket (con tabla inflable), Spatium. |
| Casco | $44.000 – $146.000 | USD 30 – 95 | Freelife, ION. |
| Chaleco de impacto o flotación | $161.000 – $234.000 | USD 105 – 150 | KSA, Neilpryde. |
| Accesorios | $20.000 – $180.000 | USD 13 – 115 | Footstraps, tornillería de foil, kit de reparación de bladder, guantes, gancho. |

Short answer: in September 2026, new wingfoil gear on Mercado Libre starts at around ARS 3.5 million (≈ USD 2,250) for a complete kit, and can exceed ARS 10 million if you build a high-end setup piece by piece. A used setup in good condition runs about USD 1,000 to 1,500. Here are price ranges by category, what to buy for the Río de la Plata and the rest of the country, and how to buy without getting scammed.
Where these prices come from
They come from 48 wingfoil listings on Mercado Libre Argentina collected on 24 September 2026 — the same ones we show in the Mercado Libre tab of Gear for sale. Dollar figures use ARS 1,550 per dollar (the official and MEP rates were close to that at the end of September 2026). Prices change every week: treat them as ranges, not quotes.
2026 Mercado Libre prices by category (new gear)
| Category | Range in pesos | ≈ Dollars | What shows up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wing | ARS 950,000 – 1,600,000 | USD 610 – 1,030 | Cabrinha Mantis, RRD, Aztron. Some unbranded wings from ARS 450,000: be wary. |
| Board | ARS 1,390,000 – 4,180,000 | USD 900 – 2,700 | Cabrinha Code and Swift (2022-2026), Shakka, Tinos, Duotone Sky 2026. |
| Complete foil (mast, fuselage and wings) | ARS 6,930,000 – 7,340,000 | USD 4,470 – 4,740 | Duotone Aero, high-end. Specialist shops carry cheaper foils. |
| Complete kit (wing + foil + board) | ARS 3,500,000 – 4,750,000 | USD 2,260 – 3,070 | Gong, Rocket (with inflatable board), Spatium. |
| Helmet | ARS 44,000 – 146,000 | USD 30 – 95 | Freelife, ION. |
| Impact or buoyancy vest | ARS 161,000 – 234,000 | USD 105 – 150 | KSA, Neilpryde. |
| Accessories | ARS 20,000 – 180,000 | USD 13 – 115 | Footstraps, foil bolts, bladder repair kit, gloves, hook. |
The standout finding in the sample: the foil is the most expensive part of the setup. That's why many riders buy a new wing and board with a used or mid-range foil, and upgrade later.
What about used gear?
In the Argentine market, a complete used setup in good condition goes for USD 1,000 to 1,500. Mercado Libre also lists previous-season models (2022-2024), new or nearly new, "on sale" at prices well below the current year's version: they're a great way to start, because a wing or board from two or three seasons ago works just as well for learning.
Before buying used, read what to check in used wingfoil gear and also browse private listings in Gear for sale.
How much you need by profile

| All new and simple | New complete kit + helmet and vest. | USD 2,400 – 3,300 |

What to buy for the Río de la Plata
- A board with volume: your weight plus 30 to 40 litres. For beginners, 100 to 115 litres. The 130-140 litre boards on Mercado Libre are very stable to start on.
- A short or medium mast (75-85 cm): with the river's low-water days, a long mast hits the bottom. 75 cm is the safest to learn on.
- A big front wing (1,800-2,500 cm²): lifts off in the river's moderate wind.
- 5 and 6 m wings for a 75 kg rider (see the full chart by weight and wind).
- Aluminium before carbon: cheaper and more forgiving when it hits the bottom.
What to buy for the rest of Argentina
- Atlantic coast (Mar del Plata, Pinamar): 4 and 5 m wings, a slightly smaller board once you're foiling, and an 85-90 cm mast so chop and waves don't touch your board.
- Patagonia (Puerto Madryn, Nahuel Huapi): 3 to 4.5 m wings, a 5 mm wetsuit, booties and gloves. The water is cold all year.
- Cuesta del Viento (San Juan): strong wind and fresh water. Small wings (3.5-4.5 m) and a smaller front wing to control speed.
- Lagoons (Chascomús and others): same approach as the river: volume, medium wings and a short mast if it's shallow.
How to buy on Mercado Libre without regrets
- Check the seller's reputation (green meter, number of sales) and prefer official or specialist shops: they usually include warranty.
- Read the full description: year, size, what's included (bag, pump, leash, bolts) and whether it's new or used.
- Watch out for "kite" foils: some work for wingfoil, but check the mast length, the front wing size and that the mounting plate fits your board.
- For used gear, ask for real photos and the serial number, and try it first if you can: inflate the wing and leave it 12 to 24 hours to see if it loses air.
- Always pay inside Mercado Libre. That keeps you covered by its purchase protection (Compra Protegida). Never transfer money outside the platform.
- Factor in shipping: a board is bulky and freight can be expensive. For used gear, picking it up in person is better.
- Compare with specialist shops before deciding: sometimes the same model costs about the same and you get advice too.
Want a second opinion before buying? Ask the platform's instructors: they know the gear and the spot where you'll ride.
